Basketball Trader

Are you all about Basketball and have a highly analytical mindset? Betsson Group are looking for a motivated individual with a strong passion for Basketball and sports betting to join our Sportsbook team to be based in Bogota, Colombia. 

Working within the Betsson Sportsbook team, as a Basketball Trader you will be responsible for live trading and risk management of Live Basketball matches as well as collaborating with our Ice Hockey and US Sports traders. You will be part of Betsson's Sportsbook team that has a passion for sports and teamwork.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a Basketball trader, you will focus on trading and managing matches in Basketball. In addition, you will assist other teams in trading a range of other sports including Baseball, American Football and Ice Hockey when necessary. Your main responsibilities will include the following:

• Managing in-play odds and risk for matches assigned to you in Basketball and other sports

• Working closely with our 3rd party providers

• Monitoring Customer betting activity to assist our Customer Risk Analysis team in recognizing betting patterns

• Creation, mapping and settlement of events where required

• Effective troubleshooting and error reporting

• Handling Customer requests in accordance with our Sportsbook rules and guidelines

• Being Proactive in providing feedback about our product and suggesting new ideas for improvements

REQUIREMENTS:

• Excellent knowledge of Basketball; interest in Baseball, American Football and Ice Hockey considered an advantage

• Comprehension of sports odds and the underlying concepts of mathematics, statistics and probability theory

• Excellent communication, organizational, teamwork and interpersonal skills

• Fluency in English

• Willingness to work during unsociable hours including evenings, weekends and public holidays

• Ability to think quickly, handle nonstandard situations and work under pressure with minimal supervision

• Minimum 2 years of experience in sports betting

• Willingness to relocate to Bogota
