This is a unique opportunity to be a core part of our founding team here in Hawthorne California, shaping the product and technology from the ground up.
Our main engineering challenge is to develop a real-time data platform that can ingest, process, store, and analyze data from thousands of autonomous and semi-autonomous marine systems. This system must be built to seamlessly handle a wide variety of sensors, hardware interfaces, data sources, and AI-driven analytics, all with military-grade security and robustness.

In This Role:

  • You will set the standard for hardware design in maritime autonomous systems.
  • You will tackle complex engineering challenges related to electronics, from concept through to production.
  • You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including software engineers and autonomy experts, to develop and refine our technology.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop advanced hardware solutions, including PCB layouts and embedded systems, for autonomous marine applications.
  • Collaborate with software engineers to integrate hardware with our real-time data platform and ensure seamless operation.'
  • Lead the development of hardware prototypes, perform testing, and refine designs based on performance and feedback.
  • Drive technical decisions related to hardware design and contribute to the evolution of our technology stack.
  • Ensure that all hardware meets military-grade standards for reliability and security.

Some Types of Experiences We're Especially Excited to See:

  • Proven experience in hardware and PCB design, with a portfolio of successful projects.
  • Expertise in designing and testing electronics for high-reliability and high-performance applications.
  • Proficiency in CAD tools for PCB design.
  • Experience with embedded systems and microcontroller-based designs.
  • Knowledge of signal integrity, power management, and thermal design considerations.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations for defense and maritime applications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous experience in a startup or rapidly evolving technology environment is highly desirable.

Why join us?
AndrenaM is an innovative, mission-driven company at the intersection of maritime autonomy and defense. We offer:

  • Stock options with significant growth potential.
  • Flexible vacation policy and paid holidays.
  • Health coverage.
  • Access to a unique work environment, blending technology and defense.
