🚀 Exciting Opportunity for an Android Developer! 🚀
We are currently seeking a talented Android Developer for a 3+ month contract-to-hire role in either Plano, TX or Auburn Hills, MI. If you have a passion for developing innovative mobile applications and possess strong experience in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, we want to hear from you!
Position Details:
Role: Android Developer
Duration: 3+ months (Contract-to-Hire) then Fulltime with the client
Location: Onsite in Plano, TX or Auburn Hills, MI
Rate: $60-$65/hr on C2C or $55/hr on W2 (without benefits)
Qualifications/What You Bring (Must Haves):
To be considered for this role, candidates must have the following experience and skills:
6+ years of Native Mobile App Development:
Proficient in Native Android development, with knowledge of cross-platform frameworks including iOS, Flutter, and React Native being a plus.
Programming Languages:
In-depth understanding of Kotlin and Java.
Strong knowledge of Android SDK, Jetpack Compose, and Android UI design principles.
Android Libraries & Integrations:
Extensive experience building and maintaining Android libraries via Gradle/Maven.
Experience with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, JSON, and integrating third-party libraries and APIs.
Testing and Code Quality:
Working knowledge of Unit and Android tests, including automated testing using Espresso UI Automation.
Strong understanding of code review guidelines and best practices.
Design Patterns and Collaboration:
Solid understanding of mobile app design patterns (MVC, MVP, Delegation, Singleton, Factory, MVVM, Clean Architecture, VIPER).
Strong experience collaborating with designers and UX experts to create great user experiences.
Version Control & CI/CD:
Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and experience with CI/CD practices.
Familiarity with tools like Jenkins and Fastlane.
Problem-Solving & Communication Skills:
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
Added Bonus (Preferred Qualifications):
Understanding of CI/CD principles and best practices for Agile and Test-Driven Development.
Good understanding of UI/UX design principles and mobile accessibility standards.
Familiarity with Bluetooth, BT Profiles, Digital Key, Core Bluetooth, External accessory, OAuth 2.0, and iAP2.
Experience working in agile processes with remote teams.
