Reporting to the Sr. Director Enterprise Growth, the Director, Enterprise Technology Strategy, Enterprise Line of Business (LoB).
This role will be part of the Enterprise LoB headquarters organization and will be the Americas regional technical leader for our business focused on driving incremental growth and sales transformation as an extended member of the Americas Enterprise Field Technical Leadership Team. You will be a trusted advisor to the Vice President of Americas Systems Engineering and provide strategic support to the Systems Engineering leadership team, including WW Strategic Accounts.
This is a highly visible, strategic role that will work across the entire Americas Pure field enterprise organization and acting as a technical bridge to the Enterprise LoB headquarters organization. The successful candidate will be a highly effective communicator and collaborator with top tier execution skills. A demonstrated history of working successfully cross-functionally, influencing across all levels of an organization is a must.
Utilizing your breadth of technical knowledge and deep industry experience, you will be a catalyst to drive growth and momentum in our key solution areas for the company, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cyber Resilience, and Cloud/Hybrid Cloud. This will include collaborating with technical leaders to review the go-to-market plays and supporting the execution through ongoing education, evangelizing, and driving field support through resources and identifying and resolving technical blockers.
A strong creative thinker, you will help guide account teams in developing compelling account strategies while discovering new and differentiated areas of value for Pure products and solutions within our enterprise accounts. A born champion, you will use your relationship and influencing skills to drive new solution areas of development, integrations, asset and tool development in order to increase Pure’s relevance and success within our enterprise accounts.
You will be partnered with a business development director from the Enterprise LoB in the Americas region and work collaboratively as a team to drive the business forward.
In this role, you will:
- Deeply understand the Enterprise business performance, key factors impacting growth with a focus on scaling our technical capability and capacity to meet the demands in our business
- Be the primary technical leader from the Enterprise LOB to establish a trusted technical partnership, align on priorities and objectives, and develop a rhythm of connection with the VP of Systems Engineering and their respective leadership team, inclusive of WW Strategics
- Be a technical champion for the Americas region within the Enterprise LOB to support the new solution offerings (e.g. AI, Cloud, Cyber Resilience), sales motions, and sales behaviors that are key to transforming our enterprise sales team and accelerating our growth trajectory
- Lead cross-functional teams across the Enterprise LOB, Pure Business Group, marketing, sales, and operations to drive transformational projects and growth initiatives
- Deeply understand our solution offerings and Pure’s unique value, being able to aggregate theater-wide feedback on customer issues and technical blockers, and act as a conduit to the Enterprise LOB to drive technical requirements
- Collaborate with both the Sales Enablement and the Enterprise LOB to help prioritize technical enablement requirements and gaps in our content and technical readiness approach
- Assist with the development of regional market/competitive intelligence, acting as our thought leader and expert
- Actively participate in Pure’s local technical user community and drive end user community engagement in partnership with sales and marketing teams
- Evangelize Pure’s message and core differentiation at conferences, analyst briefings, and customer events
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BRING TO THIS ROLE...
- 10+ years Sales Engineering, Product Management and/or Field CTO experience
- Strategic account solution selling experience at the CxO level is highly desirable
- Deep and extensive technical experience with enterprise solutions including AI, Hybrid/Cloud, Cyber Resilience, Data and Storage Platforms
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams across the Americas Theater to drive adoption and acceleration of Enterprise-class solutions, aggregate and prioritize complex technical issues, and drive transformation projects at scale
- Possess a blend of business and technical savvy that includes the ability to build and drive impact with teams across multiple disciplines, especially field teams
- Cross-functional team management and organizational skills, influence without authority, including senior management
- Direct experience driving successful theater wide field marketing and sales programs is highly desired
- Ability to influence product roadmaps and feature prioritization collaborating with business groups and engineering teams
- High bias for action and execution with strong drive to achieve
- Demonstrated ability to have conceived and executed multiple, extremely complex projects
- Possesses excellent written/verbal communication; can communicate concisely and persuasively
- Ability to travel at least 25% of the time
- A Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree or equivalent experience is required
*The annual base salary range is: $187,000– $332,000. *
*Salary ranges are determined based on role, level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations. *
