Who You Are
Spot & Tango is looking for an Accounting Manager to join our NYC HQ team! In this role you will report directly to the Associate Director of Accounting & Finance. You have a strong accounting background which you’re looking to apply to a fast-growth business setting. You will improve financial transparency and enhance processes to improve decision-making and support rapid scaling of the business.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to accounting projects designed to mature processes & systems as well as improve scalability of the business
- Support annual audit procedures and external sales tax calculation
- Work directly with production facility personnel to record property plant & equipment additions and track depreciation within ERP
- Partner with functional leads to investigate financial statement variances vs budget as part of month end close processes
- Refine approach for calculating unit economics and margin
- Collaborate with HR and functional leads to process payroll and optimize processing procedures
- Validate monthly expense reports
- Assist in the processing of invoices and maintenance of accounts payable accounts
Requirements
- BA/BS in Accounting or Finance from university/college required; CPA required, audit experience highly preferred
- 5-7 years professional accounting experience with a large public accounting firm and/or as practitioner within a business
- Strong understanding of US GAAP concepts and financial reporting
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Microsoft Excel
- Possess excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously in
