Lutris Wireless is an early stage startup spun out of the University of California, Berkeley, building measurement and diagnostic equipment for cellular wireless networks. Lutris is based near Downtown Berkeley close to the BART station.
Lutris is seeking a full-time motivated professional with expertise in functional programming and performance oriented software development and quality assurance. The ideal candidate will enjoy working with new challenges and experimenting with new and different technologies. The candidate should be able to work independently yet be able to work effectively in a group with others from different technical backgrounds.
Requirements:
A BS or MS degree in CS or EECS with professional programming experience.
Expertise in functional programming with, for instance, Haskell, OCaml, Standard ML, or Erlang.
Experience with the following:
full-stack software development,
time-series data analysis, display, and storage,
systems programming and thread level optimization,
common team-oriented software engineering practices such as continuous integration.
Ability to work fulltime and in Berkeley, CA.
US Citizenship or Permanent Residency Status.
The most competitive candidates also will possess the following skills and abilities:
Experience using modern performance-oriented principles and tools and understanding of how to tune applications to meet throughput and latency requirements.
Some experience with interfacing software defined radio (SDR) platforms would be a plus, as would familiarity with radio engineering or digital communication principles.
Database experience, including schema definition and data ingestion.
Experience developing user facing applications including experience with React.js.
