Project Expedition, a fast-growing travel and tourism startup, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Team Leader to drive growth by leading our sales and marketing teams while managing a portfolio of key accounts. This pivotal role combines team leadership with hands-on sales management, empowering our teams to exceed their targets while building strong client relationships.
As a Sales Team Leader, you will be responsible for executing our sales strategy, developing the skills of your team, and ensuring seamless collaboration between sales and marketing efforts. You'll also play a crucial role in driving key account growth and ensuring client success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the sales team to ensure consistent performance, hitting sales targets, and expanding our customer base.
- Marketing Alignment: Collaborate closely with the marketing team to align sales strategies with marketing initiatives, ensuring cohesive campaigns that drive demand and conversions.
- Key Account Management: Personally manage a portfolio of key accounts, acting as the primary point of contact to nurture relationships, handle escalations, and drive upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
- Sales Strategy Development: Contribute to the overall sales strategy, identifying growth opportunities and adjusting tactics based on market trends and customer needs.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor and report on sales performance metrics, ensuring the team meets or exceeds established goals, and provide feedback and guidance as needed.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (Product, Support, Business Development, etc.) to ensure smooth client experiences and advocate for customer-driven improvements.
- Market Expansion: Lead efforts to penetrate new markets and expand Project Expedition’s presence, including attending industry events and conferences to foster partnerships.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Experience: 3-5 years of sales experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role. Experience in managing both sales and marketing teams is a plus.
- Leadership & Coaching: Proven track record of mentoring and developing sales teams to achieve high performance.
- Sales Strategy & Execution: Strong background in building and executing sales strategies, especially in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Key Account Management: Experience managing and growing relationships with high-value clients. Collaboration: Ability to align cross-functional teams, especially sales and marketing, to achieve common goals.
- Results-driven Mindset: Focus on meeting and exceeding targets, with an analytical approach to sales metrics.
Requirements:
Fluent in English (written and spoken).
Strong communication and negotiation skills, with a customer-focused attitude.
