Viva Eve, New York’s premier health destination for women, is embarking on a new initiative to give its patients access to ambulatory surgical care in a fully accredited ASC. Through our skilled team and innovative practices, we aim to set a new standard in patient-centered surgical care in Queens, New York. Viva Eve is launching a new organization called Meridian.
Meridian, will be dedicated to providing exceptional ambulatory surgical care with a focus on multi-specialty procedures. Our mission is to deliver a best-in-class patient experience, prioritizing safety and service excellence in every aspect of our operations. *What you’ll do: *
The Administrator will be responsible for overseeing all clinical and administrative operations within the facility to ensure the highest clinical quality, efficient patient flow, and optimized patient access utilization. This position will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including medical officers and senior management, to ensure comprehensive patient care and business sustainability. The Administrator will manage all clinical staff, including direct supervision of clinical leaders, and is responsible for compliance with all regulatory standards, infection control, and continuous improvement of care quality. This individual will report to the Board of Directors.
*Responsibilities: *
Clinical and Administrative Management:
- Oversee day-to-day hospital/surgery center operations including scheduling, clinical training, regulatory knowledge, infection control, inventory management.
- Design and oversee all aspects of facility operations.
- Evaluate and interpret policies to ensure compliance and quality care.
- Supervise and direct all clinical care, ensuring high standards and consistent quality.
- Manage clinical staff, including nurses, surgical technologists, and medical assistants, with several direct reports.
- Assist in root cause analysis for errors and recommend solutions.
Strategic Planning and Business Operations
- Participate in organizational strategy development, focusing on revenue, cost goals, and business sustainability.
- Lead strategic growth initiatives, including new physician recruitment and service line expansion.
- Manage relationships with external partners and vendors.
- Partner on marketing initiatives, campaigns, and implement best practices.
Human Resources and Staff Development
- Partner with Corporate HR to oversee recruitment, onboarding, performance reviews, performance-based compensation, progressive disciplinary actions, and terminations.
- Provide continuous coaching, support, and recognition to staff for professional growth.
- Oversee training and orientation for new clinical staff and schedule ongoing education as needed.
Regulatory Compliance and Infection Control:
- Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations (e.g., AAAHC, DOH, Medicare) and oversee hospital transfers.
- Manage the infection control program, promoting best practices and maintaining a near-zero infection rate.
- Perform regular audits and coordinate accreditation processes with external bodies.
- Communication and Coordination
- Communicate effectively with patients, visitors, physicians, internal staff, and healthcare partners.
- Coordinate and schedule facility board meetings, present financials, and resolve board inquiries.
- Act as a liaison between clinical staff and senior management, addressing any concerns or issues.
Physical Demands
- The employee is frequently required to sit, converse, listen, and use hands for various tasks. Specific vision abilities and the ability to lift/carry over 20 pounds and push/pull over 25 pounds regularly are necessary. The employee must be able to stand and/or walk for at least five hours per day.
Work Environment
- The work environment is an in-person full-time role in an office setting with reasonable accommodation made for individuals with disabilities. The employee must navigate the physical and mental demands associated with clinical and administrative duties.
**Who you are: *
- RN preferred
- 3+ years of management experience in the healthcare industry preferably in an ambulatory surgery center
- Strong leadership, clinical, communication and strategic thinking skills
- Strong knowledge of legal policies and regulations in the healthcare industry.
- Aptitude for problem-solving.
- P& L Analysis and Revenue cycle experience
- Intermediate computer skills in MS Windows, Outlook, and Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Schedule: Full-time position 40 hours a week. Schedule will include Saturdays, Sundays, and one weekday. Schedule may vary depending on business needs.
