Head of Development

True Tone Dental is a health tech startup, building a platform for image processing of teeth to provide accurate colour renderings and shading.

Dentists and the labs they work with, have to ensure they have the correct shade on the tooth before replacing a crown or bridge. We want to use colour matching technology, and auto cluster pixels with the same or a close matching colour.

The product around this technology is a platform for dentists and labs to share and edit images. They can track the status of patient cases and the corresponding image processing.

We are looking for an individual who can take initiative to implement our vision with us quickly. You must be a hands-on developer with expertise across the tech stack, and have the ability to perform in a resource constrained environment. AI and computer vision experience is a plus.

You will help with technical architecture, and design, develop and test multiple technical aspects of our startup. You will also be responsible for making decisions related to technical frameworks, infrastructure and roadmap. You will need to grow the team by hiring competent engineers.

**Please note: This role is part-time and equity-based. We're looking for someone who shares our vision and is ready to lead a start-up's exciting journey.

**Desired skills

Minimum 7 years hands on development experience. 3 years of hands on experience with building scalable backend infrastructure including APIs, microservices, SQL / No-SQL DBs, and devops is a plus. Experience with design patterns/practices, Experience and understanding of hosting infrastructure is desired.
