Our platform makes healthy and affordable food accessible, reducing food waste and empowering users to make smarter choices. As we work toward launching our MVP, we’re seeking an innovative AI Engineer to help build and optimize our AI-powered engine, Koffee AI, that delivers personalized meal and grocery recommendations.

Please note: This is an equity-only role, offering 0.02% equity in the company, with no monetary compensation until we secure funding (estimated 6-12 months post-MVP launch).

Key Responsibilities:
Koffee AI Development:

Lead the development of AI algorithms that power Koffee AI, our personalized meal recommendation assistant.
Design, build, and optimize machine learning models that generate meal recommendations based on dietary preferences, grocery prices, and pantry inventory.
AI Integration:

Integrate AI-driven features such as smart meal planning, grocery deal recommendations, and user-specific dietary needs into the MealMatch AI platform.
Collaborate with the backend team to ensure seamless integration of AI functionalities into the overall system architecture.
Improve AI Accuracy and Efficiency:

Continuously enhance the performance of machine learning models to ensure Koffee AI delivers accurate, relevant, and timely recommendations.
Use user feedback and data to fine-tune algorithms and improve personalization and predictive capabilities.
Data Utilization and Model Training:

Leverage data from users, grocery stores, and recipes to train models and develop smarter recommendations.
Implement processes for data collection, cleaning, and preparation to support machine learning pipelines.
Experimentation and Innovation:

Lead experimentation efforts to develop new AI-driven features, such as health tracking, budget optimization, and custom meal suggestions.
Stay updated with the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and natural language processing, and apply them to enhance the product.
What We’re Looking For:
AI and Machine Learning Expertise:

Proficiency in machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and AI development tools.
Experience developing and deploying AI models in production environments.
Strong Programming Skills:

Expertise in programming languages like Python, Java, or C++.
Experience with data preprocessing, model building, and deployment of AI solutions.
Collaboration and Communication:

Ability to collaborate effectively with product managers, data scientists, and engineers to deliver AI-driven solutions that meet user needs.
Strong communication skills, able to present complex AI concepts and findings to non-technical stakeholders.
Experience with Recommendation Engines (Preferred):

Previous experience building or working on recommendation systems is highly desirable.
Startup Experience (Preferred):

Prior experience working in a startup environment, with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and wear multiple hats.
Equity Compensation:
This role offers 0.02% equity in MealMatch AI. As an early hire, you will play a significant role in shaping the technical foundation and the success of the company’s AI-driven platform.
