The Role
As a Fullstack Engineer at Rival, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining our cutting-edge spatial media platform. You'll work alongside our talented team to build robust backend systems, contribute to frontend applications, and optimise our media processing pipelines. Your goal will be to create efficient, scalable solutions for processing and serving spatial videos, leveraging AWS services and microservices architecture. We seek a versatile individual with a passion for innovative technologies and the ability to thrive in Rival's fast-paced, dynamic startup environment. This is a full-time, on-site role at our London office.

Key Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining Node.js based backend systems
• Contributing to frontend development with Angular
• Implementing and optimising microservices for scalability and reliability
• Enhancing media processing and delivery pipelines for spatial media(Mainly videos)
• Integrating and optimising AWS services for media storage and delivery
• Collaborating on code reviews and implementing best practices
• Troubleshooting and debugging issues across the full stack

Requirements and Skills

• 3+ years of software development experience
• Experience with Node.js or comparable backend technologies
• Familiarity with Angular or similar frontend frameworks
• Experience with AWS services

Preferences

• Proficiency in TypeScript
• Experience with microservice architecture
• Understanding of media processing concepts, especially video processing
