Chief Technology Officer (CTO) (Full Stack Engineer MERN)

Location: Okhla Phase-3, Delhi
Experience Required: 3+ years
Salary: ₹12-20 LPA + 0-5% Equity
Work Schedule: 6 days a week, 10 AM - 7 PM (In Office)

About Us:
ScrapUncle is an app/website that enables users to schedule doorstep pickups for their junk items such as paper, metals, plastics, electronic waste, etc., and get paid for it. We were featured and funded on Shark Tank India Season 2. We have completed over 50,000 pickups in Delhi NCR, sending more than 2.5 million kilograms of junk and recyclables to recycling units. We are also winners of the Urban Works Challenge by Columbia University.

What We’re Looking For:
We are a small team of 15, seeking an experienced full-stack developer to step in and accelerate our execution. This person will be our first Tech Lead, significantly contributing to both engineering and product outcomes with high ownership and autonomy. If you have a passion for building robust and scalable solutions and are looking for an opportunity to make a substantial impact in a fast-growing startup, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead a small team of tech interns (2-3), providing technical guidance, mentorship, and fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
2. Bringing 3 to 4 years of hands-on work experience, particularly with React, React Native, REST APIs and Event-driven systems.
3. Design, architect, and develop robust and scalable frontend and backend solutions using MySQL as the database.
4. Establish best practices and guidelines, and conduct comprehensive code reviews.
5. Currently does not see themselves working for large-scale corporates & wishes to stay away from the politics that come with it
