What is the role:
As a Kiosk Maintenance Technician at Intersection, you will assist in maintaining these kiosks in NYC. You should be able to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, and you must possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record. You should be comfortable working in the elements year-round. Knowledge of Manhattan and the surrounding boroughs is a plus.
Overview
Intersection is the managing partner of CityBridge, which has the franchise contract with NYC for the LinkNYC project. This “smart” city kiosk provides various services that include WiFi, emergency services, city messaging and advertising. Intersection is searching for a Digital Field Technical Support Specialist to help support the maintenance of these kiosks in NYC.
Responsibilities
- Kiosk paint maintenance
- Kiosk aesthetic replacements
- Tablet aesthetic replacements
- Netcap remediations
- Netcap install
- Air filter replacement
- Cooling Fan replacement
- Assist Digital Field Technician field work
- Deliver parts to the field
- Assist in the warehouse and on bench repair
Skills
- Comfort and familiarity with electro-mechanical components
- Ability to use common hand and power tools (ie drills, screwdrivers and wrenches), may require use of specialized tools
- Follow documented procedures (ours or generally accepted procedures, please clarify) in fitting, adjusting and proper functioning of parts
- Ability to clearly communicate both verbally and in writing
- Ability to read and understand technical documents and procedures
- Good time management skills
- Ability to lift and sustain 50 lbs. overhead for a short period of time
- A self-starter is preferred
Hourly Rate: $19.50/Hour
Offers of employment are contingent upon successfully passing a review of motor vehicle records, verification of social security number, passing a drug test at a certified testing facility.
