Backend Software Engineer

Our team and customer base is growing, and we are looking for a talented and ambitious Software Engineer to play a key role in the advancement of our products and supporting backend systems that power Sideko. Your Role:
Actively own features or systems and define their long-term health, while also improving the health of surrounding systems.
Propose, iterate, and implement improvements to existing systems or green-field projects.
Plan, develop, and release custom solutions for pivotal clients.
Assist in identifying and resolving production issues.
Contribute to engineering standards, tooling, processes, and culture.

Your Qualifications:

• 2+ years experience
• Have written clear, concise, and testable production code with an emphasis on stability and maintainability.
• API development experience in one of the following languages: Rust, Golang, Python, C#, Java, Typescript. Our core codebase is in Rust, however we believe talented developers are able to quickly learn and become proficient in new languages given the opportunity.
• Familiarity with OpenAPI

Bonus Qualifications:

• Experience with Rust.
• Experience in writing, documenting, and maintaining SDKs for HTTP APIs.
• Polyglot in programming languages.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform
