Team: Infrastructure
We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join Stream on our mission of elevating the quality of apps for billions of users globally. You will be part of the team responsible for our AWS infrastructure. To be considered for this role, you either have to be based in the Netherlands or willing to relocate.
What you will be doing
Most of your day will be spent working on AWS infrastructure and taking care of monitoring, logging, security, and automation. You will also work on improving our system observability, operations for performance and maintenance tasks.
Our team is made up of very experienced engineers, some with decades of experience. By working together, you will learn from each other along the way. You will have an enormous impact on making our API service faster, more scalable, and more reliable. Currently, the Stream Global Network spans across 17 different AWS regions, while our Video Edge infrastructure is distributed across more than 30 data centers worldwide. We store billions of records on our databases and serve over a billion end-users around the world. By joining the Infrastructure Team you will be responsible for managing and enhancing such a large scale, geographical distributed infrastructure.
About you
- Proven experience with AWS, including deployment, management, and scaling of applications in a cloud environment
- Skilled in Linux system administration and hardening
- Experienced in scripting languages and skilled in developing full-stack applications
- Good understanding of network infrastructure both in the cloud and on-premises:
- Experienced with Infrastructure as a Code and tools such as: Puppet, Ansible, Cloudformation, CDK
Bonus points
- Experience in managing enterprise-grade production environments
- Worked with distributed systems
- Experience scaling high-traffic SaaS applications
- Experience with PostgreSQL and/or CockroachDB databases
