We are growing rapidly and are looking for a highly motivated individual to manage the operational processes for Indalo clients prior to, during, and after their travels. This job is suited for someone who is hyper-organized, detail-oriented, and eager to serve the needs of our clients. This is a full-time position with high potential for growth. While it will initially require in-person collaboration, this will ideally be a hybrid role with the opportunity to work from home.
Ideal candidate attributes:
- Graduated from university, ideally with a focus in project management, finance, or tourism Relevant experience in the travel industry or in operations/project management
- Excellent communicator across email, phone, and Whatsapp with the ability to work from home
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, while maintaining strong attention to detail
- Capable and willing to solve problems efficiently, creatively, and under time pressure as travel issues arise (as they are bound to do!).
- Self-starter who takes initiative and is willing to go the extra mile
- Passionate about our mission to promote sustainable travel and bring more visitors to Africa
Responsibilities of this role:
Bookings support:
- Managing all data from quotes/bookings and inputting this into our client-facing digital platform, calculating costs across currencies and checking for any errors or discrepancies
- Generating, issuing and submitting accurate invoices to relevant parties
- Confirming bookings with partners, hotels, restaurants, tour guides, and more
- Tracking all itineraries and managing any changes, cancellations, or added services
Client communications:
- Managing all client communications during the post-booking support process, confirming all necessary details are in order to ensure a seamless trip
- Providing exceptional customer support across calls, emails, and Whatsapp prior to, during, and after a client’s trip
- Troubleshooting any issues with quick and creative problem-solving, primarily handling this independently or escalating to management when necessary
- Managing client feedback and review processes
