The Role

Our Fulfillment Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping and optimizing our fulfillment operations. As our company continues to expand, you will lead our fulfillment efforts to ensure seamless order processing, efficient inventory and supply management while supporting our Mama-centric culture.

As the Fulfillment Manager, you will oversee all aspects of our order fulfillment process, from receiving orders to timely delivery, while striving for operational excellence and strong customer focus. Your strategic thinking, meticulous planning, and keen attention to detail will be instrumental in maximizing productivity of our team.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

  • Manage daily order fulfillment activities, including order processing, picking, packing, and shipping preparation.
  • Solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals
  • Oversee daily operations and strategic initiatives while controlling and managing inventory and logistics
  • Hire, train, coach, and develop fulfillment staff to achieve business objectives while providing them a meaningful work experience while fostering a culture of exceptional performance
  • Review and prepare SOPs, staffing requirements, space allocations, equipment layouts, and action plans that meet company standards for productivity, quality, and customer service
  • Manage weekly employee hours for payroll
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing standards and procedures and by complying with legal regulations
  • Manage cross-functional inquiries from customer service regarding order status, returns, and other feedback/inquiries.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain standard operating procedures and best practices for inventory control, shipping/receiving, and replenishment processes
  • Drive a process improvement mindset particularly engaging fulfillment associates in ideas and managing through change
  • Control inventory levels by organizing and conducting physical counts and reconciliations
  • Properly escalate people and process challenges to the appropriate parties early so that they can be addressed
  • Continuously look for opportunities for cost savings and improve efficiencies
  • Establish quality control procedures to guarantee accurate order fulfillment
  • Promote and advance a culture of safety and accountability
  • Maintain the fulfillment property including calling maintenance staff and fixing minor repairs, as needed.

About You

  • Compensation: $67,000
  • 3+ years prior management experience required in fulfillment & shipping operations environment
  • 4+ years working in a fulfillment environment
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to identify and understand problems, challenges, and opportunities by analyzing and comparing data to reach a proper conclusion
  • Ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple projects and set priorities
  • A self-starter who can identify projects and manage deadlines
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Natural leadership capability which we will happily develop
