About the Job

Are you a highly skilled YouTube video editor?

If yes, this is for you. We are looking for someone who have knowledge about Design, Storytelling, Pacing, and Aesthetics rather than just cutting & chopping.

You will work both on our own & client's channel (National and international) for Long-Form and Short-form videos.

You will get hands-on experience with different types of content, both scripted and unscripted (Eg.- talking heads, vox pop, podcasts, reaction videos etc).

You must have prior experience doing this & can demonstrate the measurable progress you have made on previous channels you have worked on.

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro + After Effects + Photoshop), motion graphics, a passion for storytelling, and a thirst for continuous learning are essential to excel in this role.

Note: You are required to have an existing portfolio and complete a test project (6 to 8 Hours). This is not for beginners.

Key Responsibilities

• Editing long-form videos for YouTube.
  • Edit and condense 2-3+ hours of raw footage into a retention-optimized 10-20 minute video for YouTube while retaining the context. You must have great storytelling and motion graphic skills.
  • Ability to contextually integrate b-rolls memes, stock footage, clips from other YouTube videos movies & TV shows, and custom motion graphics.
• Editing Shorts for YouTube & Instagram
• Repurposing content from long-form videos to short-form videos
• Ensure that appropriate color grading, sound design, and smooth transitions are applied, emphasizing attention to detail despite the limited timeframe.
• Collaborate effectively with clients, directors, and other team members to understand their vision and deliver the desired outcome.
• Ability to create a unique style or replicate existing styles for our clients
• Contribute to Thumbnail concepts of the videos edited
• Track performance and review retention data of your edits

Who are we looking for?

• Proven success on YouTube as the editor for a growing channel & a strong portfolio showcasing previous work
• Deep understanding of the YouTube space – hooks, storytelling, pacing, and sound design
• Versatility with multiple video formats (talking head, vox pop vlog)
• Ability to understand both Hindi and English (We produce content for Hindi-speaking audiences as well)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively work with cross-functional teams
• Willing to work in a fast-paced environment with an openness to change
• Doesn’t get fatigued or ‘burnt out’ when working long hours when it is necessary
• Wants to be a part of something big
• Time management skills, with the ability to work within deadlines to deliver high-quality videos.
