Backend Developer (NestJS/Node.js)

We are looking for a skilled Backend Developer with a strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and hands-on experience in developing applications using NestJS and Node.js. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining scalable, high-performance backend systems that power our applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Backend Development: Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services using NestJS and Node.js.
• Data Structures & Algorithms: Apply strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms to optimize performance and scalability in backend systems.
• API Design & Implementation: Develop and maintain RESTful and GraphQL APIs, ensuring efficient data flow between the frontend and backend systems.
• Database Management: Design and manage databases (SQL/NoSQL) to ensure data integrity, performance, and scalability.
• Code Optimization: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while optimizing for performance and scalability.
• Testing & Debugging: Implement unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests to ensure the robustness of the application. Debug and resolve issues across the stack.
• Collaboration: Work closely with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality products.
• Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in backend development, and apply them as needed to improve our systems.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 2+ years of professional experience in backend development, with a strong focus on NestJS and Node.js.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and their applications in real-world scenarios.
  • Experience with RESTful and GraphQL API design and development.
  • Proficiency in working with databases (SQL and/or NoSQL).
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Knowledge of cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
• Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering solutions that are efficient and scalable.
• Communication: Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a collaborative team environment.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with Docker and containerization.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.
• Exposure to frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue.js) for better collaboration with frontend teams.
