About the job

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled IT professional with expertise in Microsoft
365/Office administration, Power Automate scripting, on-premises server
management, Rackspace Cloud management, SFTP management, enterprise
software subscriptions with a security focus, and Windows deployment
management using PDQ. The ideal candidate will also manage a small team
of 3-4 technical resources and vendor partners. This role will focus on
software subscription security, scripting automation, and server-side
management, ensuring high availability, optimal performance, and security.

Key Responsibilities

  • Microsoft 365/Office Administration: Manage and maintain the Microsoft 365/Office environment, including user administration, security, and software updates.
  • Power Automate Scripting: Develop and implement automation scripts using Power Automate to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
  • On-Premises Server Management: Oversee the management and maintenance of on-premises servers, ensuring optimal performance and security.
  • Rackspace Cloud Management: Administer and optimize cloud resources on Rackspace, including cost management and performance tuning.
  • SFTP Management: Manage secure file transfer protocols (SFTP) for data exchange, ensuring compliance with security standards.
  • Enterprise Software Subscriptions: Manage enterprise software subscriptions with a focus on security, ensuring all licenses are up-to- date and compliant with organizational standards.
  • Windows Deployment Management (PDQ): Utilize PDQ to deploy, manage, and secure Windows environments across the organization.
  • Team Leadership: Manage a small team of 3-4 technical resources, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management.
  • Vendor Management: Collaborate with external vendor partners to ensure the timely delivery of services and adherence to contractual obligations.
  • Automation and Scripting: Develop and implement automation solutions, including scripting for software subscription management and security compliance.
  • Performance & Availability: Ensure high availability and optimal performance of mission-critical host computer resources.
  • Security & Protection: Develop, implement, and enforce procedures to safeguard systems against unauthorized access, environmental hazards, and user abuse. Ensure backup and restoration protocols for host operating systems and applications are in place.
  • Project Coordination: Lead and coordinate projects related to automation and software security. Facilitate communication, develop project plans, schedules, and documentation to ensure successful execution and minimal impact on operations.
  • System Monitoring & Response: Monitor systems daily, responding promptly to security or usability concerns. Review application logs and administer infrastructure, including firewalls, databases, and malware protection software.
  • Troubleshooting & Support: Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex issues involving software scripting and cloud environments. Develop and document standard operating procedures to streamline operations.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation for all procedures, configurations, and incidents. Provide detailed reports on network performance and issues.

Qualifications

Experience: 7 years of total IT experience, with 3-5 years in a similar role
focusing on automation, security, and cloud environments, particularly with
Rackspace.

Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft technologies, including Windows Server,
Active Directory, and Microsoft 365. Strong knowledge of network protocols, infrastructure, and security best practices.

Experience with Azure services and cloud infrastructure. Familiarity with automation tools and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Power Automate). Experience with Windows deployment using PDQ.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSE, Azure Administrator, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) preferred.
