Senior Data Scientist - Natural Language Processing (NLP)

Innovation is at the heart of what we do at Agolo. You will be joining a world-class team of data scientists to develop state-of-the-art natural language processing solutions to pioneer text understanding and summarization.

As a senior scientist at Agolo, you should be able to:

• Lead building NLP-driven solutions from identifying business problems to collecting training datasets, analyzing data, modeling, testing, and validating.
• Research the latest NLP academic papers and prototype ideas that can potentially solve new challenges and enhance existing solutions.
• Lead a team of junior data scientists and mentor them to excellence.
• Collaborate with engineering partners to design, implement and deploy solutions to the production environments.
• Collaborate with product owners to revolutionize the product and content design.
• Prioritizing diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
• Proactively communicate key issues and any other critical topics in a timely manner to the appropriate stakeholders.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English with an ability to present complex technical information to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Adapt to shifting requirements and deal with ambiguity.

Required qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience primarily in NLP. This can include industry experience, open-source contributions, and academic research but not coursework.
• Strong foundation in the NLP techniques and approaches, and statistical machine learning.
• Hands-on experience with deep learning architectures and frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Strong coding skills in a general-purpose coding language such as Java and Python.
• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or a Ph.D. in computer science or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience building software that deals with noisy, unstructured text data.
• Multilingual NLP experience.
• Publications in top-tier AI/ML/NLP conferences.
• Familiarity with MLOps.
