Job Summary:
As the Engineering Lead at Intelas, you will be responsible for leading and managing our development team, with a strong emphasis on hands-on coding. Your expertise in Python, Django, AWS, and data management will be crucial in guiding our team toward best practices, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products, and driving the growth of our US-based engineering team. You will play a key role in shaping the team's culture and processes, motivating developers, and holding them accountable to meet our business objectives.

Additionally, you will work closely with our ETL pipelines, database management and be involved in the deployment and optimization of ML models and LLMs that streamline data collection, standardization, and insight generation.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Team Management:

• Lead, manage, and motivate a team of local and overseas developers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
• Conduct daily stand-up meetings and ensure the team remains focused and productive.
• Set clear goals, provide feedback, and hold team members accountable for their deliverables.
• Cultivate a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate and deliver comprehensive solutions.

Hands-on Development:

• Actively participate in coding and code reviews to maintain high standards of code quality.
• Develop and maintain scalable web applications using Python, Django, and AWS services.
• Ensure that the team follows best practices in software development, including testing, documentation, and version control.
• Work with ETL processes to manage and optimize data pipelines.
• Contribute to the deployment and integration of ML models and LLMs for data processing and insights generation.

Team Growth and Development:

• Identify talent needs and contribute to the recruitment process to expand the US-based engineering team.
• Mentor and coach team members, providing guidance and support for their professional development.
• Shape the team structure and roles to align with business goals and drive growth.

Qualifications:

• Extensive experience in software development with deep expertise in Python and Django.
• Strong proficiency in AWS services and cloud architecture.
• Proven experience in data management and database technologies, with a focus on ETL processes.
• Demonstrated experience leading and managing a development team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Experience with agile methodologies and project management tools.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working with remote and overseas teams.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of front-end technologies such as React.
• Experience with ML model deployment.
