Senior Regulatory Legal Counsel (/mf/d)

Here at Moonfare as a dynamic and high- growth scale up, disrupting the private equity market, we have high impact and integral role for a motivated and experienced Senior Regulatory Legal Counsel to join our team. In this pivotal and specialist position, you will be at the forefront of delivering various major company wide projects that will further elevate us in the market and you will be responsible for maintaining our corporate identity and ensuring compliance with our licensing requirements.

You will:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for all regulatory topics within the company, with a focus on MiFID/WpHG-related queries
• Responsible for overseeing licensing projects including; drafting and reviewing necessary documents for license applications, compliance policies, reviewing directors’ CVs, amendments to corporate setup and providing expert input to internal teams and coordinate with external counsel
• Partner closely with our Head of Compliance to monitor and manage compliance across EU jurisdictions
• Collaborate with the General Counsel and external Counsel to develop a roadmap for company key projects and license applications
• Ensure all internal regulatory and contractual preparations for company projects are completed
• Work closely with various departments, including C-Suite to ensure regulatory compliance and cross functional project success

The next Moonfarian:

• 3 years minimum experience in a law firm (banking or financial regulation group) or in-house position within the financial sector
• Knowledge and previous experience working with MiFID/WpHG/KWG/GWG
• Completed your Staatsexamen qualification
• Fluent written and verbal communication skills in both English and German
• Previous experience in a completed MiFID license application is highly desirable
• Solutions oriented mindset and excellent stakeholder management
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
