About This Role:
As a CNC Machine Operator you will be responsible for overseeing the daily functions of Laser, Punch and panel bender machines. You will use work orders, drawings, sketches, fabrication standards and programs to produce parts on the CNC machines for Crusoe Fabricators.
A Day In The Life:
Reads and interprets blueprint designs of the product to be manufactured and sets machines to produce product/components to customer specification.
Entering in programs, Or doing post production of already existing programs.
Sets up machinery to manufacture parts; loads feed mechanism by lifting sheet metal into position.
Makes mechanical and/or program adjustments to ensure parts are meeting quantity and quality requirements.
Periodically checks CNC machine to ensure Punch or laser tooling is in good condition and Replacing/sharpening tooling when needed.
Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
Maintains equipment through preventative maintenance; following manufacturer’s instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
Performs other related duties that contribute to the success of the operation as assigned by the supervisor.
Running tests before the start of operations.
Follow safety requirements and maintain certifications.
Inspect the machinery and product for quality assurance.
Perform daily maintenance on the machinery.
Review work orders and programs for accuracy as it pertains to designs and verification of required materials for those designs.
Maintain tooling inventory for current and future production for continued efficiency.
Utilize the quality control system and the quality control check sheet.
You Will Thrive In This Role If:
3+ years of experience as a CNC Operator or Machinist. Laser and punch experience preferred but not required.
Certificate of 2-year technical degree in Machine Technology, Precision Machining or CNC Operations is preferred but not required.
Experience working with shop machinery including: Shear, CNC, and Brake Press
Ability to read technical manuals/blueprints/drawings
Methodical/analytical problem solving skills, and strong mechanical aptitude
Strong organizational/follow-up skills; attention to detail
Requires lift, lower, push and pull all sizes of merchandise up to 50 lbs
Requires the ability to stand, walk, stoop, & bend for 8 hours or more daily
Requires constant use of arms, hands, fingers, eyes, legs, and back
Must be detail oriented
Must be a team player willing to take on additional roles as needed
Have a good attitude and willingness to learn
This position is designated a safety sensitive position and/or is located in a safety sensitive facility. Drug and alcohol program participation is required
Must be able to pass a background check

Compensation Range:
Compensation will be paid in the range of $20/hr - $30/hr. Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers. Compensation to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
