Senior Software Engineer, Generative AI Platform

We’re hiring a senior or staff software engineer to work on our LLM platform that powers Generative AI within our products. As a senior member of the team, you’re expected to drive key technical decisions and establish new best practices for software engineering in a domain that is still greenfield. Your decisions will drive the growth of our platform and the success of the users that depend on it for mission-critical workflows.

What You’ll Do

• Drive the design and direction of our LLM service and build usable interfaces and APIs for other engineers and end users
• Work on scalability, reliability, and cost-efficiency of the platform
• Research new generative AI techniques to implement in our production applications
• Collaborate with Designers, Product Managers, Mission, and Software Engineers to integrate machine learning services with our user-facing products
• Become an expert and point of contact for all things prompt-engineering
• Build out new products using the latest LLM and machine learning techniques

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend engineering work with realtime and async applications
• 3+ years of working with ML models in production applications
• Experience building scalable APIs
• Prior experience with LLMs and prompt engineering is a plus
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly and work around the stack
• You must be a US resident or citizen.

  The salary range for this position is $150,000 - $220,000 + equity + 401K match. Within the range, individual pay is determined by experience, relevant education, and/or training.
