The Fleet Operational Excellence (OpEx) Specialist shall be responsible for supporting the Fleet Operational Excellence (OPEX) Manager in the implementation of operational excellence initiatives within the Last Mile unit.
The OpEx Specialist shall be in close coordination with various stakeholders (Performance Analytics Unit, Business Intelligence Unit and other relevant units) in the data gathering, development of operational tools and rollout of continuous improvement (CI) projects up to process standardization.
Responsibilities:
- Process Gap Analysis
- Analyze current processes (or focused areas for improvement) and workflows to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies or further improvement
- Design and implement process changes with the key objective of operational efficiency
- Monitor and assess the effectiveness of implemented changes
- Utilize data-driven approaches to measure performance, track key metrics, and monitor the effectiveness of improvement initiatives
- Ensure the integration of completed CI projects into Standard Operating procedures to drive sustenance of implemented process changes
- Project Management
- Shall be assigned with a CI project from conception to project turnover
- Shall drive coordination and cooperation among stakeholders involved in the CI initiative
- Secondary Role
- Develop and maintain documentation, tools, and resources to support continuous improvement efforts
- Build analytical references and dashboards understandable and useful to the ground operations in their hub and/or area management
Qualifications
- Graduate of at least 4-year course, preferably in Business Studies, Management/ Industrial Engineering, or Information Technology with work experience appropriate for the role.
- At least 2 years in officer or supervisory role and experience related to this role
- Knowledge and experience in SQL and/or business intelligence or analytics platforms (Python, R, Periscope, Metabase)
- Above average analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess complex situations and make informed decisions.
- Intermediate to Advanced Skill in Microsoft Excel or Google Suite’s Gsheet
- Knowledge in Lean Operations or Six Sigma
- Continuous Improvement Tools and Techniques
- Problem Solving Tools and Techniques
