DevOps /Platform support Engineer

Job Title : Devops/ Platform support engineer.

Experience: 2+Years

Location: Bangalore

Primary skills: AWS/Azure, Linux, Jenkins, Github, VPC, Docker, Amazon EC2, S3, ELB.

Qualification: (BE / BTech) or Master’s in Computer Applications (MCA).

Notice Period: Immediate - 30 days

· Experience: ✓ Minimum Four years experience in general software engineering, DevOps/platform support

· Experience of having worked on AWS/Azure Deployments

· . Experience of Deployment of Applications on Hosted Servers/Environment

· .Experience of using Linux based setup and deploying applications on Linux

· . Experience of having work on Databases – mysql and Postgres

· .Experience of having worked on NoSQL databases: MongoDB, memcached, CouchDB

· .Experience in the philosophy and design of Ruby on Rails

· . Experience in setting up and configuration of email, DNS and web servers

· . Experience of DevOps tools – Chef, Ansible, Jenkins, Github

· . Experience of having Worked on integrating slack (APIs- slack app, bot users) with in-house tools.

· . Experience of Performance management using NewRelic, Web Page Test tools Knowledge of:

· . Knowledge to Create and support AWS and Azure infrastructure hosting Saranyu Products

· . Knowledge and Ability to work with the Amazon EC2, S3, ELB, RDS and EBS service

· .Knowledge of CloudWatch, CloudTrail, VPC, Docker, ✓ Knowledge of Kubernetes, Container, Azure VM, SQL Databases, App Services

· . Knowledge of Servers: Nginx, Apache

· . Knowledge of Load Balancing Highly preferred experience:

· . Trouble shooting and Performance tuning of Deployment and Deployment Errors

· . Proactive and resourceful person who achieves tasks with minimal oversight

· . Ability to Work on tickets and resolve the issues ( daily Health tickets )which are on the high priority

· . Monitor, respond and resolve (within SLA) any incidents raised for any kind of issue

· . Ability to Audit resources in infrastructures ( Cloud or otherwise ) to manage cost through internal tool

· . Automate the lengthy operations task using Jenkins jobs or ad-hoc scripts (one time or repetitive )

· . Ability to Migrate Deployments from Cloud Service to On Premise and vice versa, in high availability architecture

· . Implementing Jira for better development and SLA. (SAFe practices)

· . Running scripts to ensure that the database is working fine

· . Monitoring the databases

· . Implementing the backup strategy using Hot backup, Cold Backup

· . Performing logical backups using Data pump, Export & Import.

· . Proficiency in performing the recovery of the database files in various recovery scenarios and restore the schema objects using the logical backup

· . Proficiency in assessing performance of Production servers, Applications and network performance using various monitoring and Application tools, Creating Roles and Assigning privileges, Roles to Database user, upgrading databases
