Dance Detective

We are looking for passionate and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Dance Detectives. As a Dance Detective, you will play a crucial role in helping our community discover and connect with dance events worldwide. Your efforts will ensure that our platform remains the go-to resource for dancers seeking socials, classes, and festivals. This is an unpaid, fully remote, part-time role focused on learning and gaining experience while contributing to our open-source non-profit project.

About Us:

WeDance is a non-profit dedicated to supporting and promoting dance around the world. We unite dancers on one platform, helping them find and join dance events in any city. With over 3,000 weekly visitors on our site, we provide a comprehensive resource for dance enthusiasts everywhere.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and respond to dance-related queries on our website.
• Investigate and provide accurate information about dance events, WhatsApp groups, and Instagram pages of local organizers.
• Reach out to dance event organizers and encourage them to add their events to our platform.
• Help maintain and update our event database for better user experience.
• Collaborate with the WeDance team to ensure timely and effective communication with users.

Requirements:

• Strong passion for dance and familiarity with various dance styles (e.g., Salsa, Bachata, Kizomba).
• Excellent research skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and a friendly, helpful demeanor.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
• Willingness to volunteer a few hours per week to support our mission.
