Marketing Lead

About Flywheel:
Flywheel is the dedicated marketing, PR, and communications company supporting a leading decentralized finance (DeFi) protocol. We work closely with the DAO to drive adoption, enhance visibility, and manage the public image of the DAO ecosystem.

Role Overview:
As the Marketing Lead at Flywheel, you will lead all marketing efforts for the DAO, playing a crucial role in shaping its brand, driving user acquisition, and fostering community growth. You'll work directly with the DAO, core contributors, and community members to develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies that align with the DAO's vision and goals.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy for the DAO, encompassing brand management, and platform growth
2. Lead and mentor a team of marketing professionals across various disciplines (content, social media, PR, community management, etc.)
3. Collaborate closely with the DAO to ensure marketing initiatives align with protocol development and governance decisions
4. Oversee the creation and execution of multi-channel marketing campaigns to drive awareness and adoption of the DAO's products
5. Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources
6. Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and user feedback to inform marketing strategies
7. Drive thought leadership initiatives, including speaking engagements, content creation, and industry partnerships
8. Oversee brand consistency across all touchpoints and communications
9. Implement data-driven marketing approaches, utilizing analytics to measure and optimize campaign performance

Qualifications:

• Proven track record in developing and executing successful marketing strategies, preferably in crypto, DeFi, or fintech industries
• Deep understanding of the DeFi/crypto ecosystem, with bonus being specific knowledge of the DAO's and its competitive landscape
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams
• Data-driven mindset with proficiency in marketing analytics and performance measurement
• Experience in community-driven marketing and working with decentralized organizations

Preferred:

• Experience working with or for a DAO or other decentralized organizations
• In-depth knowledge of the DAO's technology, tokenomics, and governance structure
• Established network within the cryptocurrency and DeFi sectors
• Understanding of on-chain governance and community-driven decision-making processes
