Senior Frontend Engineer

About the Role:
We’re looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Adia’s web applications, help drive product delivery, and mentor the next generation of engineers. As part of an AI-first product organization, you’ll work on intelligent interfaces that help clinicians make better decisions, faster. You’ll collaborate closely with design, backend, and product teams to build user interfaces that are robust, scalable, and accessible — with real-world impact on patient care.

The ideal candidate will have a background working in a complex domain, ideally in U.S. healthcare, and a proven track record of success. This role requires a deep understanding of frontend technologies, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain complex, AI-driven applications in a fast-paced healthcare environment
• Work closely with product, design, and backend teams to deliver high-impact features
• Build reusable, testable, and accessible UI components using TypeScript and React
• Lead the evolution of our frontend architecture and design system
• Drive technical excellence across projects, teams, and engineering practices
• Mentor and support engineers through code reviews, architecture discussions, and pair programming
• Optimize application performance, reliability, and maintainability
• Contribute to CI/CD, observability, and other platform-level strategies
• Help shape hiring, onboarding, and overall frontend strategy

Technical Requirements:

• TypeScript: Expert-level knowledge, including advanced types and architectural patterns
• React.js: In-depth understanding of hooks, context, performance tuning, and testing
• Material-UI (MUI): Hands-on experience with theming, customization, and best practices
• Design Systems: Strong experience scaling and maintaining cross-product design systems
• Strong understanding of component reusability, accessibility, and architectural principles

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of professional frontend development experience
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with TypeScript and React.js
• Proven experience with Material-UI and design systems
• Strong understanding of web accessibility standards and frontend testing practices
• Clear communication and collaboration skills across engineering, product, and design
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• English fluency required
• Nice to have: Experience working in a complex product domain, ideally U.S. healthcare
