Our Brand Experience team is looking for a Tracking Engineer to make a difference in our front end data tracking solutions. Brand Experience is responsible for improving our product offering and expanding our portfolio of brands and markets that we operate within. The Wow
As a Tracking Specialist, you will be responsible for administering and tracking configurations through Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics while offering central support to multiple stakeholders on-site / product development and marketing.
What are we looking for
We are looking for a person with strong JavaScript skills who also has a flair in behavioural data involving user sessions and cookies, preferably with experience in Google Tag Manager. Front-end QA knowledge is not required but will be considered as an asset!
A taster of what you will be involved with
You are the go-to person for all tag management and data tracking operations across our digital advertising and partner websites. This involves:
- Full ownership of Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager
- Creating and implementing advanced tagging and tracking across brands.
- Define, configure, administer, and operate GA to measure micro and macro conversions and behaviour tracking in all stages of the funnels.
- Support site optimization initiatives and implement data standardization practices.
- Collaborate effectively with web analysts, release engineers, test engineers, agile coaches and stakeholders to deliver great products (Web and Mobile/Native).
- Working closely with development and QA teams to handle data tracking setups for web releases ensuring data continuity and fluid data analysis.
You’re good at
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Working independently, without supervision, effectively prioritizes and handles multiple tasks and projects.
- Possess excellent English communication skills.
- Hands-on experience with JavaScript and/or other languages.
- Hands-on experience working with a data layer.
- Possess a degree in Computer Science or a similar technical area.
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role or Front-End development.
- Experience with Tag Management solutions such as Google Tag Manager will be considered an asset.
- Experience with de-bugger solutions such as Google Tag Assistant will be considered an asset
- Experience with Web Analytics solutions such as Google Analytics, Firebase, etc. will be considered an asset.
- Experience with implementation and maintenance of third-party marketing pixels will be considered an asset.
- An attribution model knowledge would be an advantage.
