About the role

We are looking for a self-starter engineer who loves building new products in a fast-moving environment. In this role, you will work on the core AI features of Newtone’s product offering. As a product engineer, you will interface directly with clients, closely cooperate with colleagues across functions, and take responsibility for features and infrastructure of our platform product.

Specifically, you will:

• Work on the core AI features of the Newtone product, covering training/customization, inference, and onboarding automation end-to-end
• Talk to internal and external stakeholders to understand their problems and design solutions to address them
• Collaborate with a cross-functional team of engineers, researchers, product managers, designers, and operations folk to create cutting-edge products

Your profile

• 4+ years of relevant experience in building AI / Data Science software
• Master or PhD in a quantitative discipline, with deep knowledge of statistics and ML
• Proficiency in Python
• Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases
• Experience in shipping production software
• Experience with GenAI, NLP or vision is a plus
• Ability to deliver value fast in an environment where things are sometimes loosely defined and you may have competing priorities or deadlines
• High level of ownership and mentality to “reach for the stars” while operating with a lot of freedom
