Job description
We are looking for a seasoned automation engineer who will design, build and maintain automation for our software in a hybrid build and automated test environment. You will develop builds, the automated test framework, automated tests, relevant CI pipelines & libraries. You will contribute to shaping, building and maintaining our automated test & build environments – locally and in the cloud. You will be working closely with many engineering teams ranging from low level firmware development through various middleware to UI teams. As an engineer you are passionate about building automation that helps your peer engineers to be productive and test automation is your middle name.
This is a full-time position located in Helsinki, Finland. We are supporting hybrid model thus you can be working remotely from other cities in Finland.
What You’ll Be Doing
- You design, code and maintain the automated test framework & automated tests in full end-to-end pipelines.
- You design, code and maintain build pipelines when needed.
- You work with your CI and developer colleagues to define what, how and when we automate to achieve the most bang for the buck.
- You contribute to developing & maintaining our pretty extensive CI system.
Our Expectations
- A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in the automation area including build automation, Jenkins and integration of local/cloud services
- A minimum of 5 years of hand-on experience in test automation
- Excellent understanding of and hands-on experience with Robot framework and Python in general
- Excellent understanding of and hands-on experience with Jenkins pipelines
- Automation experience on both Windows and Linux
- We speak Python, Groovy and sh/cmd/powershell and we expect the same from you
- Not afraid to roll up your sleeves to debug and fix issues in our CI farm, be it local or in the cloud
- Team player, ability to perform in cross-functional teams and to actively share knowledge with others
- Excellent communication skills in English
A big plus
- Working experience with Conan packaging, debian packaging, Artifactory, Ansible, Grafana
- Hands-on Docker knowledge
- Linux administration experience
- Some AWS/Kubernetes experience
- Track record of shipping multiplatform products and being a key individual in the automation effort
