Excellent opportunity to join Betsson Group as our new Director of Performance Marketing, based at our HQ in Malta.
This key role within the Global/Central marketing team is vital for continuous improvement in our performance channels. The purpose of this role is to lead the teams responsible for PPC, SEO, Programmatic & Ad Ops, Affiliation, Paid Social, and Marketing Platforms.
This role will serve as the core liaison with any team working on onsite conversion and early experience, acting as a key connector between the marketing and product departments to maximize conversion. This leader should ensure our marketing performance teams collaborate closely to stay at the forefront and work proactively with all markets, focusing on funnel conversions, efficiency, and ROI.
Responsibilities
The main responsibilities are but not limited to:
- Be the Betsson Group authority on optimal resource allocation in all performance channels and build towards converting brand/category interest through to first purchase and beyond.
- As a major service provider for our regional teams, collaborate closely with them and ensure service levels are maintained, guiding and supporting their local efforts while maintaining a global perspective for best practice.
- Guide and support the search engine results page (SERP) focused teams (SEO, affiliate and PPC), prioritising that a ”SERP-first” cross-team approach is applied with total profitability in mind.
- Guide and support the marketing technology platform to enable their collaboration with key stakeholders, including but not limited to product department.
- Guide and support Programmatic/Ad Ops and Paid Social teams to deliver with efficiency both for acquisition and branding.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in performance marketing.
- Analyze campaign performance data to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for optimization.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations to communicate performance results and insights to stakeholders.
Requirements
As an individual you are highly results oriented with the ability to manage vertically and laterally in a complex organisation. You have excellent people skills, are an accomplished leader and a true expert in the field of marketing.
- 10 years of relevant experience.
- Extensive direct experience in at least two of the following areas: PPC, SEO, Paid Social, Programmatic & Ad Ops, and/or Affiliation.
- Agency experience is essential for this role.
- Experience in the online gaming industry is a significant plus, but senior e-commerce management/marketing backgrounds are also highly valuable.
- Excellent leadership skills, with a strong analytical, commercial, and optimization-oriented mindset.
- Proficient in technology, with the ability to translate commercial perspectives to product developers and vice versa.
- Confident in presenting to C-level executives independently.
- Highly social with excellent interpersonal skills.
