Role Description

This is a remote contract role for a Data Engineer. The Data Engineer will be responsible for daily tasks related to data engineering, including data modeling, ETL (Extract Transform Load) processes, and data warehousing, with a strong focus on implementing robust ETL pipelines using modern tools like Apache Spark, Parquet, ClickHouse, and TimescaleDB. The role also involves extensive data analytics responsibilities.

Qualifications

Proficient in data engineering, data modeling, and ETL (Extract Transform Load) processes using Parquet, Apache Spark, ClickHouse, and TimescaleDB.
Experienced in data warehousing and data analytics.
Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.
Excellent programming and scripting skills in Python, SQL, and similar languages.
Extensive experience with big data technologies and cloud platforms, particularly AWS and GCP (Google Cloud Platform).
Knowledge of machine learning concepts and algorithms is a plus.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
