Senior Front-end Engineer

Our operating system solves the collaboration challenges of cross-organizational collaboration as well as the decision-making process for networks of experts (e.g., regular governance, funds allocation).

We are currently seeking a Senior Front-end Engineer with a strong React experience. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to contribute their skills and experience to a radical approach to decentralizing/reshaping how science and innovation works.

Objectives

• Develop and test front-end modules from scratch
• Collaborate with the CTO to reason through and plan the implementation of new features
• Manage the refactoring of pieces of existing code base
• Manage team through implementing a new design system

Required Skills and Experience

• At least 8+ years of professional experience in front-end development, with a strong focus on React and JavaScript
• Expert-level proficiency in React, including a deep understanding of its core principles, lifecycle methods, and best practices
• Proven track record of writing clean, efficient, and maintainable JavaScript code
• Strong understanding of modern front-end architecture and design patterns
• Skilled in refactoring and optimizing existing codebases for better performance and maintainability
• Solid experience with implementing and maintaining design systems, ensuring consistency across the application
• Familiarity with front-end build tools, such as Webpack, Babel, and npm/yarn
• Knowledge of server-side rendering and performance optimization techniques
• Strong understanding of cross-browser compatibility and responsive web design
• Experience with TypeScript and statically typed JavaScript
• Familiarity with GraphQL and RESTful APIs
• Knowledge of front-end testing frameworks, such as Jest, Enzyme, or React Testing Library
