About the Team
The Accounting team is looking for an experienced Senior Revenue Accountant to join our growing team which is primarily located in the United States of America.
About the Role
The role entails working closely with our data experts in Engineering to understand the accuracy of the numbers being used for entry into our general ledger system and with our Finance business partners to be able to articulate why financial information changed. There is a fair amount of collaboration with other teams and within our team to complete the monthly accounting close cycle. You will get experience in working with your manager for scaling processes for growth, taking them from manual to automated. You will get the opportunity to understand financial metrics and analytically review financial information as well as how to develop forecast information.
You will report into our Senior Revenue Accounting Manager on our AR Revenue team in our Accounting organization.
You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…
- Prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and flux analysis at month-end close for revenue related accounts in accordance with U.S. accounting principles
- Detect and resolve data issues and reconciliation gaps
- Prepare various account analyses under the instructions and supervision of the Revenue Accounting Senior Manager
- Support annual audit requirements related to specific areas of responsibility
- Partner with cross-functional teams including finance, legal and various business owners as needed to obtain needed supporting documentation
- Own SOX control performance and documentation maintenance
- Conduct detailed analysis of revenue data using SQL queries and other analytical tools to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for optimization.
- Perform ad-hoc projects as assigned

- You have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- You have 4+ years revenue accounting experience (U.S. GAAP experience a plus)
- You have Month-end close experience
- You have experience with a publicly traded company (audit experience a plus)
- You have experience with Netsuite or other large ERP systems
- You have advanced Microsoft Excel skills, with the ability to manipulate and digest mass amounts of data required
- You have experience using SQL queries and other analytical tools
