Frontend developer (remote/ contract)

ClassHero is a EdTech Company that helps districts make the most of their curricular investments. Districts across the US invest in Math and Reading curriculum and resources that teachers have a hard time incorporating into daily instruction. ClassHero provides a layer of software that streamlines these resources and offers teachers 1-click workflows to meet the personalized needs of all students.

Job Description:

Alongside a world-class team of engineers, you will be responsible for the application’s user experience, user interface. The ideal candidate is passionate about creating the best user experience possible, is both a team player and independent leader/thinker/risk-taker, considers themselves equally creative and technically minded, is a pro at collaborating with our UX designer and backend engineers and is able to translate design into quality Javascript code. Your ultimate goal is making ClassHero’s UX the best it can be (then making it even better!).

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Translate wireframes/ Figma into working Javascript code and tweaking CSS/HTML to get it just right
• Participate in the planning of UX research and understand requirements from team members, content partners and prospective/ existing customers and in the design of prototypes and wireframes

Skills You Need

• 2+ years related experience in building interactive SaaS web applications (not marketing websites)
• Familiarity with the workings of Figma
• Proficiency programming in Javascript and a deep understanding of CSS/HTML
• Knowledge of responsive design
• Ability to translate design artifacts into usable code
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work in a collaborative environment
• Must be able to provide a portfolio of past work
