Position Overview:
German for Girls is seeking a dedicated and organized Volunteer Project Manager to oversee the implementation of our project and ensure its successful execution. The Volunteer Project Manager will be responsible for monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, and ensuring that milestones are met in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Coordination:
- Develop and maintain a detailed project plan outlining tasks, timelines, and milestones.
- Coordinate project activities and ensure alignment with project goals and objectives.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
Monitoring and Progress Tracking:
- Monitor project progress against established milestones and deadlines.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess project effectiveness and impact.
- Provide regular updates on project status to stakeholders and leadership team.
Team Management and Support:
- Coordinate project team meetings and facilitate communication among team members.
- Provide guidance and support to project team members to ensure their understanding of project goals and responsibilities.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including project plans, progress reports, and meeting minutes.
- Prepare regular reports summarizing project activities, achievements, and challenges for internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in project management or coordination is preferred but not required.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Passion for girls' education and empowerment through language learning.
