Senior Data Engineers

Job Description:

Utilize proven data infrastructure design and implementation capabilities to ensure the delivery of high-quality engineering solutions. Establish and instill innovative practices, patterns, and toolkits to deliver enterprise-grade data assets. Determine analytics needs and translate those into efficient and callable data processes. Collaborate and partner with counterparts to deliver and continuously evaluate the best way to deliver short-term and long-term solutions. Develop reusable data integration and streaming platforms using Python or other comparable languages. Take ownership for deliverables that span a time horizon up to eight weeks. Facilitate longer-term (Epic) cross-team collaboration and planning. Mentor engineers on the team, including onboarding engineers.

Job Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field plus five (5) years of experience in or with Data Engineering.
2. In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree and five (5) years of experience, the employer will accept a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field plus two (2) years of experience in or with Data Engineering.
3. Additional experience must include:
   • Leading multi-person teams on collaborative, cross-functional projects.
   • Mentoring junior data engineers, including code reviews and providing training and guidance.
   • Agile project management and data infrastructure systems.
   • ETL development and data warehousing.
   • Git, CI/CD workflows, AWS services, containerization (Docker), and orchestration tools.
   • Python programming and SQL programming.
   • Familiarity with data modeling and visualization.
4. Telecommuting is available for this position.
5. Must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.

Annual Salary Range: $155,000 - $205,000
