Founding Team - Senior Full Stack Developer at Trubuild

TruBuild is an AI-first construction-tech startup transforming how contractors and developers run procurement, tenders, and contract review in the Middle East. We're looking for a Founding Full-Stack Engineer to join our small, senior team and help us scale a platform that's already in production with paying customers.

You'll work across our entire stack — from the web app users interact with every day, to the AI engine that ingests thousands of pages of tender documents and produces structured commercial and technical evaluations. This is a hands-on role with real ownership over architecture, product, and trajectory.

What You'll Work On

• Build and ship features end-to-end across our React + TypeScript front-end and our Python (Flask) AI engine
• Design and evolve the data model in PostgreSQL and the document pipeline backed by MinIO (S3-compatible)
• Improve our LLM-powered workflows for RFP/tender analysis, commercial evaluation, contract review, and tender Q&A, using Google Vertex AI (Gemini) and OpenRouter for model routing
• Strengthen platform reliability, performance, and security — including observability (Grafana + Loki + Prometheus), secrets management (HashiCorp Vault), and CI/CD
• Partner with the founding team to shape product direction and the technical roadmap

Our Stack

• Frontend: React, TypeScript, TanStack Router & Query, Tailwind CSS v4, shadcn/ui + Radix, Zustand, Better Auth, Bun
• Backend / AI Engine: Python, Flask, Google Vertex AI (Gemini), OpenRouter, custom NLP pipelines for contract / RFP / OCR processing
• Data: PostgreSQL 16, MinIO with AES-256 server-side encryption
• Infra: Docker + Docker Compose, Nginx with TLS 1.2/1.3, HashiCorp Vault, Let's Encrypt, GitHub Actions
• Observability: Grafana, Loki, Prometheus, Alloy

What We're Looking For

• Strong full-stack experience with TypeScript / React on the front-end and a typed or scripting language on the back-end. Comfort with Python is a big plus; willingness to learn it is essential.
• Solid grasp of relational data modeling and PostgreSQL (or comparable RDBMS)
• Experience integrating LLMs or AI/ML services into production applications — prompt engineering, evaluations, structured outputs, cost/latency trade-offs
• Comfortable working with Docker, Linux servers, and modern CI/CD
• Pragmatic about software architecture, testing, and trade-offs in an early-stage environment
• Strong written and spoken English; Arabic is a plus
• Excitement for construction-tech and the Middle East market

Nice to Have

• Prior founding-engineer or early-stage startup experience
• Background in document AI: OCR, layout-aware parsing, retrieval-augmented generation
• Experience with observability stacks (Grafana, Loki, Prometheus) or HashiCorp Vault
• Experience operating workloads on AWS (especially in the Middle East regions), GCP, or self-managed VMs
• Construction or AEC-industry domain knowledge
