About the role:

You would be joining as one of the first instructors, and educate students who are just starting out with their career in healthcare. This challenge is an intriguing one: while we plan to pursue national accreditation to eventually start our first nursing program, this first program will not just be our first step, but also help us establish our rigorous, student-centered approach to healthcare education and serve as a role model for future programs. As an instructor, you'll be able to accept individual classes to teach. Schedules are flexible - you'll be able to take on weekday, weekend and evening classes based on your other responsibilities.

Minimum state requirements to be a nursing assistant training program instructor in the state of Arizona:

• Holding a current, registered nurse license in Arizona that is active and in good standing or multi-state privilege to practice as an RN under Arizona Revised Statutes Title 32, Chapter 15;
• Minimum of one year full time employment or 1,500 hours as an RN providing direct care

• One of the following: (1) One year of full time or 1500 hours experience supervising nursing assistants, either in addition to or concurrent with the one year of experience required, (2) Successful completion of a three semester credit course on adult teaching and learning concepts offered by an accredited post-secondary educational institution, (3) Completion of a 40 hour continuing education program in adult teaching and learning concepts that was awarded continuing education credit by an accredited organization, or (4) One year of full-time or 1500 hours experience teaching adults as a faculty member or clinical educator
