About the Team
DoorDash is seeking a talented Engineering Manager to lead our Order Accuracy team which is part of our Delivery Excellence pillar. Our pillar’s vision is to ensure 100% of orders placed on DoorDash are delivered with the highest quality. Aligning to the overall quality vision, this team’s goal is to ensure every customer who orders on DoorDash receives their products accurately, all the time. This team specifically focuses on reducing the Missing & Incorrect (M&I) items delivered metric. Improving accuracy is a complex and challenging problem. To achieve our goal of 100% accurate orders, we plan to collect ground truth, implement ML models, and adopt the latest technologies. This team develops products for all three audiences of DoorDash including Consumers, Dashers, and Merchants.
About the Role
As the manager for the Order Accuracy team, you will manage a team of mobile, fullstack and backend engineers. You will be responsible for driving the technical vision, strategy, and execution of the team charter. You will also collaborate greatly with the product, operations and peer engineering teams in identifying new opportunities to improve the accuracy of our deliveries and overall audience experience.

- BS, M.S., or PhD. in Computer Science or related field
- You have 2+ years of engineering leadership experience as an EM on a full-stack team
- You have 7+ years of industry experience

- A strong hands-on technical leader and strong product sense
- Humble - you’re willing to get into the details and you’re open to feedback

Compensation
The location-specific base salary range for this position is listed below. Compensation in other geographies may vary.
Actual compensation within the pay range will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location. For roles that are available to be filled remotely, base salary is localized according to employee work location. Please discuss your intended work location with your recruiter for more information.
