Mid/Senior QA Engineer For Social Mobile Apps Company

Summary:

We're in search of a Mid/Senior QA Engineer to take ownership of our quality processes, leading both manual and (future) automated testing efforts, while collaborating seamlessly with our development teams. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in startup environments, who thrives in dynamic teams and can effectively communicate ideas and solutions.

As part of our Testing team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and functionality of our mobile applications. Your contributions will involve thoroughly testing and validating mobile interfaces, ensuring they are user-friendly and align with our quality standards, ultimately enhancing the overall user experience within the app.

What you’ll do

• Take full responsibility for the overall quality assurance processes.
• Perform manual testing on mobile apps and APIs to guarantee functionality and performance.
• Plan, execute, and monitor quality control oversight across all stages of development.
• Enhance and optimize existing manual testing processes.
• Coordinate testing with devs, PMs, and possibly other testers to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
• Work closely with development teams to understand and take ownership of existing automation efforts.
• Implement and enhance automated testing strategies to increase efficiency and coverage.
• Proactively address bottlenecks and challenges in the QA workflow.

Experience Requirements

• 3+ experience in Manual QA Testing.
• Minimum 1 year of Mobile App Testing.
• Proven track record of successfully owning and driving QA processes in a dynamic environment.
• Strong understanding of manual testing methodologies and processes.
• Problem Solving & Independence: Ability to identify and solve issues quickly; capable of working autonomously with attention to detail.
• Technical Proficiency: Understanding of client-server architecture, REST API, JSON, databases, SQL, and development/testing tools (e.g., Swagger, Jira, Postman, Jenkins).
• Demonstrated leadership skills with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
• Fluency in English.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in using and maintaining automated testing frameworks.
  • Modern QA Skills: Interest in automated testing (Selenium, Appium, Espresso), CI/CD knowledge, familiarity with Agile and DevOps, and insights into security and performance testing.
