The Role

What you will be doing:

As a Junior Desktop Support Engineer (JDSE), you will be part of a small team of DSEs implementing IT infrastructure projects to improve and streamline our colleagues’ user experience, IT support processes, and security posture. You will also provide 1st and 2nd line IT support across the business with a strong focus on customer service. You will be focusing on resolving Incidents and fulfilling Service Requests whilst keeping your colleagues informed of progress at all times and within SLA. You will follow ITIL's best practices and processes as defined by the IT Service Delivery Manager.

You will have experience supporting one or more types of operating systems (Windows, Mac, Ubuntu) and a passion for technology, as well as experience supporting corporate users in a global company. Whilst ComplyAdvantage is supportive of a flexible, hybrid working environment, this particular role requires some in-office presence, on average of a couple of days a week at our Cluj office, to provide the best support to our teams.

As a Junior Desktop Support Engineer, you will

  • Support the asset lifecycle management of IT endpoints and technologies, including Mac, Windows, and Ubuntu
  • Support Google Workspace & Chrome

    • Google is our default toolset for collaboration and productivity; ongoing management of this environment is essential to maintain consistency across
    • Google Workspace is used across the organization for mail, calendar & online meetings, collaboration (i.e. docs, sheets, slides), and productivity
    • Google Chrome is our default browser
  • Support Atlassian - Jira & Confluence to track open requests and share information across the organization

    • Jira & Confluence are our engineering collaboration toolset
    • Jira Service management is broadly used across the organization to track service requests for operational efficiency and SOC2 compliance
  • Manage the IT onboarding/offboarding processes for Joiners/Movers/Leavers as you welcome/offboard employees in a professional and efficient manner

  • Work with information security to ensure continued compliance with auditing requirements as required, including ISO 27001 best practices

  • Champion and promote IT as an enabling function to facilitate and accelerate IT standards across the organization

About you:

As Junior Desktop Support Engineer, you will

  • Have experience in a support organization of a high-performing scale-up organization
  • Show strong technical understanding of 2 of 3 of Mac, Windows, or Unix desktop operating systems
  • Have the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues, using local resources (including Google & Internet search) to research solutions
  • Have the ability to document processes via Confluence (knowledge base) and workflows
  • Show us good written and oral communication skills; comfortable reaching out to users at all levels in the company to request information
  • Be confident to ask for help when you cannot find answers

Nice to haves:

  • Familiarity with modern collaboration and office productivity tools, including Google Workspace &, Google Meets, Jira & Confluence, HR Systems (we use HiBob) and Slack
  • Experience with delivering service desk / IT helpdesk services. Hands-on experience managing and supporting Jira Service Management
  • Knowledge of information security and secure service delivery
  • Proven experience working in IT delivery roles
