Expert Software Architect

Duration: 30 Months
Location: Albany, NY – Onsite
Hourly Wage Range: $60 to $65 per hour

Qualifications:

• Software Architect: Makes high-level design choices, sets technical standards, and designs multi-leveled architecture for large-scale software systems.
• Expert (84+ Months): Provides guidance to large teams, possesses extensive industry experience, and is at the top of the field.
• 84 Months Experience with J2EE technologies (JDBC, JSP, XML).
• 84 Months Experience developing Java EE applications with modern IDEs (Eclipse, Netbeans, IntelliJ).
• 84 Months Experience using J2EE based Application Servers (Websphere, WebLogic, TomCat, JBoss).
• 84 Months IBM DB2 experience with XML schemas.
• 60 Months Experience in performance tuning and messaging technologies (MQ, JMS, Kafka).
• 84 Months Experience in system analysis and design of multi-tiered transactional systems.
• 24 Months Experience in ColdFusion web applications, Real Property Tax, and Sybase RDMS.

Day-to-Day Tasks:

• Assist with modernization of legacy systems.
• Coordinate technical solutions among support groups.
• Implement technical solutions and develop system components.
• Support production tasks and propose solutions for defect resolution.
• Coordinate development activities and integration testing.
• Develop technical design documents and guide requirement gathering sessions.
• Code, perform unit and integration tests, and tune SQL.
• Support user testing efforts and performance tune applications.
• Mentor less experienced staff.
