A Brief Overview
The Manager Financial Planning & Analysis is responsible for leading a team of expense analysts that analyze operating expenses across our various business units. The team analyzes monthly OPEX results versus forecast and plan, investigates variances, generates standard reports and flux analyses, works within our Oracle systems and partners with accounting to accrue and/or reclass expenses by department as needed, and provides general OPEX analytical support to FP&A functional business partner managers. This includes providing input to budgets, forecasts, and designing financial reports & analyses for assigned department(s) and/or member(s) of the FP&A business partnering team. This role also provides regular support to Finance-related functions, such as accounting during the month end close process. This is a people-manager role with direct reports.

What you will do
Acts as liaison and provides financial support to FP&A business unit function leaders and members of
the management teams.
Prepares monthly department OPEX flux analysis and provides support to development of updated
monthly operating expense forecasts based on ongoing business performance.
Fosters a learning culture within the local team focused on coaching, regular feedback, accountability,
and development that energizes colleagues.
Reports on actual operating expense results against targets, provides analysis of variances, and assists in
guidance on future trends.
Provides support to other Finance departments and functions such as, but not limited to Accounting
during month end close process.
Influences strong cross-functional communications.
Actively works within and supports ongoing improvement of TriNet’s financial, planning and business
intelligence systems.
Performs ad hoc financial analysis projects and report preparation as identified by FP&A management
team.
Education Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent work experience required
Experience Qualifications
Typically 5+ years experience as Manager FP&A or like experience required
Skills and Abilities
Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
Essbase skills required.
Knowledge of Tableau and Anaplan a plus.
Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized.
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are required.
Ability to think creatively, highly-driven and self-motivated.
A demonstrated commitment to high ethical standards and a diverse workplace.
Ability to adapt to a fast paced constantly evolving business and work environment while managing multiple priorities.
Highly effective leadership skills reflecting ownership/accountability, critical thinking, collaboration, demonstrated ability to inspire and empower others, promote inclusivity, transparency and resiliency.
Licenses and Certifications
