This position allows you to be fully remote and comes with all the benefits and room for creative freedom that one would expect from such a role. We meet once every 8-10 weeks to converge on our direction, touch base and keep the team spirit intact.

We are in search for a Technical Writer to document our journey and articulate the intricacies of our technology to a broad audience. This role is pivotal in enhancing communication and ensuring our stakeholders and community members are well-informed and engaged.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive documentation that meets organizational standards, including user guides, API documentation, and in-depth protocol analyses.
• Work closely with technical teams to ensure accurate representation of product features and functionalities.
• Facilitate onboarding of new community members and developers by providing clear and concise educational materials.
• Manage and delegate tasks to existing team members in the DevRel department
• Contribute to developing and continuously improving internal documentation processes, including change management and technical specification documentation.
• Engage with the Powerloom community, initiating discussions on documentation needs, improvements, and feedback.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather insights and translate complex blockchain concepts into understandable, engaging content.
• Advocate for documentation best practices and contribute to open-source documentation initiatives.

Must haves

• Proven experience in technical writing within the blockchain or tech industry.
• Strong grasp of blockchains, decentralized protocols, and their underlying principles.
• Ability to distill complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and easy-to-understand language. Experience with documentation tools + platforms and version control systems like Git.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and clarity.

Nice to have

• A knack for storytelling and creating engaging content.
• Experience with distributed data solutions and understanding of redundant systems.
• Familiarity with cloud hosting platforms and their services.
• Enthusiasm for decentralized and traditional financial markets.

• Synchronous Communication: When synchronous communication is required, coordinate well in advance. Block calendars mutually to minimize scheduling conflicts and ensure productive discussions.
