About the role
As a Large Language Model (LLM) Research Scientist, you will be a key member of our research team, dedicated to advancing the field of natural language processing (NLP) and machine learning (ML). You will play a crucial role in the design, development, and evaluation of state-of-the-art language models, contributing to the creation of innovative solutions for language understanding and generation tasks. Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of novel algorithms and architectures for large language models.
- Conduct research experiments to investigate and improve the performance and efficiency of LLMs across various NLP tasks.
- Analyze and interpret experimental results to derive meaningful insights and contribute to scientific publications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate LLMs into practical applications and products.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in NLP and ML research, and incorporate relevant techniques into our work.
- Mentor junior researchers and interns, providing guidance and support in their research endeavors.
- Engage with the academic and research community through conference presentations, publications, and collaborations.
- Drive innovation within the team by proposing and exploring new research directions and ideas.
About you
[Minimum qualifications]
- Experience in computer science, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or a related field.
- Proven track record of research excellence demonstrated through publications in top-tier conferences or journals in NLP or ML.
- Expertise in deep learning, with a focus on natural language processing tasks and architectures.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and experience with deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to formulate and tackle complex research problems.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Experience with large-scale data processing and distributed computing platforms.
- Familiarity with advanced techniques in deep learning, such as attention mechanisms, transformer architectures, and self-supervised learning.
- Knowledge of additional programming languages such as C++, Java, or Scala.
- Prior experience in leading or contributing to open-source projects related to NLP or ML.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and drive projects to completion.
- Demonstrated passion for advancing the state-of-the-art in NLP and ML through research and innovation.
