About the job

We are seeking an Expert IT Specialist to support the NYS Department of Health's Early Intervention Program. In this role, you will work on transitioning functions and data from the legacy Curam system to a new vendor supplied replacement system.

Responsibilities:

Conduct extensive analysis of the legacy Curam system to understand application and database architecture
Work closely with other team members on application and data analysis using Rational Rose and SQL Developer
Share findings from analysis through written communication and verbal discussions
Provide estimates and develop changes for a secondary Java-based system
Configure application servers like WebSphere or WebLogic
Provide backup support to the System Administrator on tasks like application stop/start, manual batch execution, and working with technical teams
Attend meetings, prepare weekly reports, and complete time tracking

Requirements:

84+ months of IT experience with expertise in a range of platforms, architectures, and applications
36+ months experience with Cúram framework, Rational Rose, Java, and Oracle 10g or higher
Experience leading a development team and adhering to SDLC practices
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science
Certification in Cúram version 4.5 or greater
